Making these marzipan carrots are really quite simple. Follow along with our pictures to make your own! You can make them any size you want by using more marzipan. I used approximately 1.75 ounces of marzipan (1/4 of a 7 oz box) to make 12 carrots that are 1.25″ long and 1/4″ wide at the top. There are a lot of marzipans out there, but this one from Odense has amazing reviews and is considered the best choice among many bakers.
First get your marzipan ready by flattening it.
Then squeeze in a little orange food dye gel or coloring. See notes in the recipe regarding dye vs color. Mix it until the color is incorporated. I used a rubber glove so my hands did not turn orange!
Cut the marzipan into roughly equal pieces for each carrot.
Shape using your hands into a carrot.
Use a toothpick to make the carrot ridges and pierce a hole in the top for parsley.
Cut off small parsley pieces and insert into the carrot top.
You are done learning How to Make Marzipan Carrots! Use them anywhere, they are perfect for spring and Easter celebrations. I seriously want to put them on absolutely everything just because of how cute they are. The carrots are completely edible and would be perfect on desserts or even these Ginger Carrot Cake Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Glaze!
