These Fireball Jello Shots are easy to make! Cinnamon whiskey and orange or cherry gelatin for a fun drink alternative. Great for game day, parties, and holidays like Halloween or 4th of July.
Measure ½ cup of water and ½ cup of Fireball whiskey and place in freezer to chill (or place in refrigerator if chilling in advance).
Bring over 1 cup of water to a boil in a small pot over high heat. (Use over 1 cup as some will evaporate and you need 1 cup when hot).
Once hot, measure out 1 cup of the hot water. Discard the rest. (I like to put the hot water in a glass measuring cup 2 cups or larger -- or, use a bowl).
Add the Jello powder and stir to dissolve, approximately 2-3 minutes.
Add the remaining ½ cup of water (cold) and ½ cup of Fireball whiskey. Stir. Add any edible glitter, if using, and stir to incorporate.
Pour the mixture into small plastic cups. The liquid will not expand when chilled, so you can fill close to the top. Or, pour into a dish if not making individual portions. See note.
Chill until set, at least two hours. If desired, top with edible sprinkles such as the stars when serving. Keep cool to prevent them from melting if it is hot out by placing them on top of ice.
Notes
If you want to skip the plastic use, or want something easier, you can simply pour all of the mixture into a glass or metal baking dish and let it set in one large block. An 8x8 or 9x9 inch dish, or loaf pan, works great. Then either remove and cut into squares, or let people scoop some out with spoons.
