Mix all ingredients together. Let chill for flavors to meld, at least 30 minutes. Season to taste.
Notes
I like to use a chipotle in adobo that already is mixed with diced chipotle. If you buy canned chipotles that are whole, diced up the peppers and mix with the sauce before using.
This sauce ratio is great when it is a focal point, such as for dipping fries. If using as part of a larger recipe with many other ingredients, such as a spread for a burger, sandwich, etc, I recommend adding the following to give it a stronger flavor:
