This Copycat Red Robin Bleu Ribbon Burger is a great way to make the popular restaurant dish at home! A beef hamburger is layered with crisp onion straws, steak sauce, and blue cheese with chipotle aioli.
Heat your grill or large skillet (on a stovetop) to medium heat (350℉/176℃). (Oil your grill grates or add a Tablespoon of oil to the skillet).
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
Combine your beef patty ingredients together and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
1 pound ground beef, ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs, 1 large egg, ½ Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, ½ Tablespoon liquid smoke, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper
Separate your beef mixture into three and shape into patties. The patties should be slightly larger than your bun (as they will shrink). Also make an indentation in the middle to avoid them becoming rounded.
Add your patties to your grill or skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned and holding together.
Flip the patties and cook to your desired doneness (see notes).
Remove the patties from the grill and let sit to rest.
Spread butter on your bun halves and toast lightly on the same grill or skillet pan.
