Creamy Cajun Sauce

I love this sauce for how tasty and versatile it is!

There are so many great flavors happening that bring a lot of flavor and pairs up with so many foods.

We like to whip some up and serve it for game day as it makes a great dipping sauce for SO many things! Our favorites so far are using this for wings, as a fry sauce, and a shrimp sauce.

What is the taste of Cajun sauce?

This sauce has smoky, spicy flavors from the heat of hot sauce and paprika.

There is also an earthy flavor to the sauce from the garlic and herbs in the cajun seasoning.

And the sauce is creamy without being too heavy.

What is Cajun sauce made of?

Here is what you need to make this cajun sauce:

  • Mayonnaise
  • Cajun Seasoning
  • Garlic Powder
  • Paprika
  • Tomato Paste
  • Hot Sauce

I like to use a tube of tomato paste that I keep in the refrigerator when I need just a little, like for this recipe.

Instruction Overview

All you have to do to make this spicy sauce is mix everything together and put it in the refrigerator.

I like to chill it for at least an hour for the flavors to mix and develop.

I would recommend letting the sauce chill before adjusting any flavors because when the flavors develop in the refrigerator, the taste will change.

Is Cajun sauce hot?

It is up to you! This recipe has a more mild kick. And then you can make it as spicy as you want by adding more hot sauce!
