Why You Will Love This Recipe

Fall (autumn) is my absolute favorite time of year! I love the crisp weather, changing leaves, and delicious food.

One of the most classic flavor combinations that you will find is cinnamon apple, and it is everywhere!

I love finding ways to use a flavor in unique recipes and make it versatile, like this Cinnamon Apple Sauce.

And since I also have an obsession with sparkling wine, this Cinnamon Apple Cider Mimosa is a fun twist on an autumn cocktail!

This fast and easy wine cocktail is perfect for your Thanksgiving brunch or dinner table, full of fall flavors.

Ingredients

Sparkling Wine

Cinnamon Simple Syrup

Apple Cider

Garnishes such as apple wedges, cinnamon sticks, and star anise

Technically to be called Champagne, the sparkling wine has to come from a specific region of France.

Use any sparkling wine that you love. Since you are flavoring it, I would not go too fancy or expensive.

I like to use brut (dry) or extra brut wine since the apple brings sweetness. Cava is a dry Spanish sparkling wine that is very affordable and my favorite go-to for a mimosa recipe!

Modifications and Substitutions

If you want it super sweet, try something like a prosecco!

Another fun twist for this apple cocktail is to make it warm!

Kim’s Tips

Simply heat up the apple cider first, and then assemble according to directions. And use a wine that is room temperature instead of cold.

I just LOVE decorating cocktails at parties and gatherings with fun and beautiful garnishes.

For this Apple Cider Mimosa I use a slice of apple, a cinnamon stick, and a star anise pod.

Not only are they beautiful, but they add a wonderful aroma to the drink as you sip it!
