Can you put wet vegetables in an air fryer?

Yes, you can, whether it is water or something wet like oils.

Water will take a moment to evaporate in the heat and oils will crisp up.

Don’t go overboard with water, however, because you could create steam. But no need for everything to be dry since we are not trying to achieve a crispy breadcrumb texture.

Can you heat beans in an air fryer?

Yes! Reheating or heating in the air fryer is a perfect way to heat the beans.

A gentle, low heat is great for keeping them warm. And a very high, short heat is good for trying to bring as much of the crisp texture back as you can.

But remember that any type of heating after they have been cooked is adding to the cooking time and will alter the end product quality.

Picking an Air Fryer

There are a lot of air fryer options out there. Many air fryers are designed as single-use appliances, as in they air fry and not much else.

If you are looking at purchasing an air fryer, you want to consider how you will likely be using it.

Not only does the batch size vary with how large the air fryer is, but some have small and deep baskets while other have shallow and wide frying baskets.

I prefer and recommend something that has a wide and shallow basket because you can fit more in it without the food overlapping on itself, which especially matters sometimes as with these air fried green beans.

I have the Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven which is wonderful because it also bakes, toasts, and more all in one appliance. With the shallow and wide basket.

And it works FAST which means chicken nuggets for the kiddos are ready in a flash!

Instructions – Overview: How to Cook Green Beans in Air Fryer

Making these air fried green beans is very quick and easy. The most time consuming part is trimming the beans!

Clean and trim the beans and toss them in a medium bowl with ingredients as listed in the recipe.

Then spread them out in the air fryer basket. As thin as you can is best to expose as much as you can to the air for crisping up.

Cook them for 7-8 minutes, tossing half way through. If your beans are thick or extra long, you might need a few extra minutes.

That’s it! You are ready to serve.
