I am a big fan of making spice blends on my own because I can tweak them to exactly what I like!
One of my favorite spice blend recipes to make is this Homemade Taco Seasoning.
One batch of this Homemade Taco Seasoning makes approximately 2 1/2 Tablespoons which is just shy of a taco seasoning packet that you would get from the store.
To use this Homemade Taco Seasoning for tacos, mix one bath of the seasoning with 2/3 cup water and 1 Tablespoon of cornstarch with one pound of cooked ground meat.
The water gives you a little sauce effect and the cornstarch helps it adhere to the meat but can be skipped.
Now using this spice blend for tacos may seem pretty obvious, but it is very versatile!
I love to use it for non-taco purposes like to season enchilada sauce, or in my Chicken Taco Soup!
This seasoning mix is so fast and easy to make that you can easily whip it up any time you want to use it!
You can also make a triple batch and have some on hand and ready to go!
Whether Taco Tuesday or any day of the week, these taco recipes will bring excitement to dinner!Taco Recipes
