Why You Will Love This Recipe
Savory Halloween recipes can be tricky to find, and I love making this Halloween Spider Bean Dip for my parties!
It is fast and easy to make in just 20 minutes, and always a huge hit! It is inspired by my Hatch Green Chile Bean Dip.
A bean dip is dressed up with a spider web and olive spiders, and we use black refried beans to give us the dark dip color on top.

Kim’s Tips
Make sure the cream cheese and beans are warm when you make those layers. This makes it MUCH easier to spread out, plus the dip will not be cold for eating 🙂
You can choose to heat the dip too, but do this before adding the web (otherwise it will “melt”) and be careful of it getting too hot, as it could start exploding.
The sour cream web can be tricky! Follow our instructions in the recipe, and pipe on more sour cream as needed to make it look the way you want to. Sometimes it cooperates, and sometimes it is difficult!
I like using the green olives for the spider because it is a great contrast to the black beans. But you can use any color olive. We have olive-adverse people, and it is easy for them to avoid the spiders and still enjoy the dip. But you can also leave them off completely if desired.
