To make the Healthy Lemon Basil Dipping Sauce, combine the plain Greek yogurt, lemon juice and zest, fresh basil, garlic, and salt in a small bowl. Stir to combine and chill until ready to serve. I like to chill at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together a little. It is a great, fast and easy dip to whip up for guests that is versatile. You can dunk any of your favorite snacks into it like vegetables, pita, or Harvest Snaps! The dip is vegetarian and gluten free (gf).
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 Tablespoon fresh basil thinly sliced
- zest of 1 lemon (optional)
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Zest the lemon and put the zest in a small bowl.
- To the small bowl, add the plain Greek yogurt, garlic, fresh basil, lemon juice, and salt. Stir to combine. Season to taste with additional ingredients as desired.
- Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.
