Why You Will Love This Recipe

The people in my circle LOVE dips and I tend to make a lot of them because of it!

This Pepperoni Pizza Dip was a HUGE HUGE hit at a football party – so I have to share it with all of you!

It is incredibly fast and easy to make!

Ingredients

You can find a full list of ingredients, quantities, and instructions in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

Let’s talk a little about what you need for this cheesy pizza dip!

Pizza Sauce – You will want to use a pizza sauce you really like because it is so important to this recipe. I love using my Homemade Pizza Sauce which makes enough for this plus a couple pizzas!

Mini Pepperoni – I love the mini pepperoni because they are the perfect size for cooperating with dunking into a cheese dip (plus they are so cute!). You can also use a regular sized pepperoni and cut them into quarters instead. If you leave them as large pepperoni, it will be difficult to scoop them up.

Dunkers – Pita chips are a perfect dunker because they mimic a pizza crust. My easy Homemade Pita Chips are perfect to use here, plus much more cost effective than buying store pita chips. Use any dunkers you like such as tortilla chips, veggies, etc.

Modifications and Substitutions

Use any pizza toppings you love on top. Turn it into a meat lovers with sausage, bacon, and/or ground beef. Make it supreme with some sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and olives. Or even all-veggie or just plain cheese!

Instructions

  • If cream cheese is not softened and easy to spread, microwave at brief intervals until soft.
  • Mix the cream cheese, oregano, and garlic powder together.
8 ounces cream cheese, ½ teaspoon dried oregano, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture across the bottom of your dish.
  • Spread the pizza sauce across the dish in an even layer.
    ¾ cup pizza sauce
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese across the sauce. Then sprinkle the Parmesan cheese across as well.
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella, 2 Tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Lightly sprinkle a small amount of oregano and garlic powder across the top of the cheeses.
  • Sprinkle the pepperoni on top as the final layer.
    2 ounces mini pepperonis
  • Bake the dip until cheese is melted and bubbling, approximately 10-15 minutes. (Yes, you can microwave the dip until melted as well but I find it tastes best if baked).
  • Serve warm with your homemade pita chips or dunkers of choice.

Notes

Homemade pita chips are perfect as a dunker because they mimic a pizza crust.
Easily switch this up with any pizza toppings you love!
Make sure to use a pizza sauce you like since it is such an important part of this simple recipe. I love my easy homemade pizza sauce for this!
The more pepperoni you add, the saltier the dip tastes (especially if dipping salty things into it).
